A self-taught artist with creativity and versality attibutes to his expertise in using different mediums from graphite, charcoal, pastel, watercolor, acrylic and oil, switching depends on a particular subjects.

John Paul A. Cabangal, a local artist from Municipality of Pigcawayan and now was based in General Santos City, Philippines. At early age he already had shown interest in creative undertakings. On his works manefests his personal struggles, his stories, his advocacies, his passion and accuracy in matters to lines, forms and values. Whatever subjects he chooses to create, expresssive elements are always manifested in his works. He is also meticulous and precise in creating shadows and highlights leading to a three-dimention feel of his artistic renderings. Utmost attention to details, distinctive hues and stern to choose of colors that blends in an artwork that forms eventually into his masterpiece. He had created somehow styles and techniques that can proudly say his original. A simple piece becomes an irrisistable work of art. His journey as an artist started with his participation in some art community groups, numerous art exhibit and competitions. A lot of his works was already bought by collectors. His respect of composition, styles and techniques came out from his constant studies and practice, and definitely knows that art is infinite practice wirh infinite discoveries and infinite possibilities.
